Isuru "Issy" Fernando is IBM’s leader on Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Computing in New Zealand. Globally, Issy is a recognised thought leader and is in the top 0.1% of IBM’s talent.
He graduated from the University of Auckland where he was known for pushing the boundaries of theory and practice.
He went on to co-found a successful start-up, he's a board member of the Association of Information Professionals Australia Chapter, and he is part of the Embedded Systems and Robotics research group at the University of Auckland.
He's also authored a number of journal articles.
